Dolly Time
The monstrous silhouette sent a shiver down my spine. “Mum I don’t think this is the kind of doll you should be giving to a four year old” I whispered. The doll had eyes that followed you wherever you went. That was just the beginning. I was sweating like an athlete, shaking like a volcano and worst of all, it was staring right at me.
Lily took l look at the doll and then hid behind mum’s legs “Aaawww don’t worry Lily it’s only a pretty little dolly.” That night Lily was to scared to sleep. When the clock struck 12 Polly opened her eyes and Lily swore she saw her do it.
“Mummy do you know the dolly you gave me?” questioned Lily. “Yes, Polly was it?” Lily nodded. “l fink she bwinked last night.” “Lily your just scared of her, if you see something tell us straight away OK?” “OK” Lily sighed. Midnight had landed again. Polly had been removed from her bookshelf and was replaced in her closet. Lily bravely put her warm hand on the cold handle and pulled. There she was all tangled on the floor. Beforehand she was on the floor. It had happened she had moved!
At the breakfast table Lily was shivering and felt petrified. Mum, Dad and myself gobbled up breakfast. While Lily just stared at her sloppy, wet porridge. “What’s the matter child? You’re as pale as a ghost!” asked mum. “I, I, I, never mind.” stuttered Lily. “lt’s that doll again isn’t it,” dad replied “Kinda” “Do you know what sleep in our bed tonight.” “Can Molly come too?” “Which dolls that?” “The one I’ve had since l was a baby.” “Yes Molly can come” dad sighed loudly.
Days went by, and soon it was Mum’s birthday. Dad and Mum went out leaving Lily and l with a babysitter. EIIie had sent the kids to sleep. All was silent until “AAAHHH!!!” Ellie had let out a piecing scream. “The doll moved” Ellie screamed running out the door. 1 down 2 to go.The hunt was on Polly VS The Kids Polly tiptoed up the stairs and targeted Lily. It was dark, quiet and cold. She walked into Lily’s bedroom. I could feel that she started to panic, and then Polly tore a strand of her own hair and strangled her. “JJJJJJJJAAAAAAAMMMMMEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!” she squealed. I leaped out of bed and sprinted towards her bedroom. “Lily what happened? Are you OK?!” Polly turned around saw me and the 100 year old doll leaped at me! I heard the keys enter the door.“Kids were home!” yelled mum. “Wait right here my littlies” cackled Polly. “Mum, Dad LOOK OUT!” But it was to late she had already laid her hands on dad. She had attacked him! “Aaahhh!!!” mum screamed. “Shut up, or you’ll end up like him! Got it?” snapped Polly. Silence. “Answer me or l’ll murder you too!” “Yes” they muttered “Good” she snapped. “a a a a a ACHOO!!!” sneezed mum. “Bless you” Lily replied “Your gone!” Polly yelled. In an instant mum and Lily had been demolished into shreds.
AII that was left was me. At that point l didn’t know if I was going to live or die. Then I stopped and thought to myself. ‘What would to be dead? WiII l go to heaven or hell?’ “Now you” Lily lunged. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It felt like I was out of my body! The shock of losing my family was too much. l died instantly of a broken heart. I walked over to Polly but she couldn’t see me. I was dead. Authorities packed up our house. Polly got taken back to that same Toy Shop, and then one day this little girl around Lily’s age said: “Mummy, mummy by me this dolly!”
